“You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve YOUR love and affection” Buddha
I am a PROUD member of the Red Talk Table Group (RTTG) on Facebook. The RTTG was started by Jada Pinkett Smith, her daughter Willow, and mother Adrienne – three generations of women that open their home and hearts for a series of candid conversations with family, community leaders, and celebrity friends on an array of thought-provoking topics that generate tons of discussion within the group.
In the RTTG group, men and women post scenarios, problems, situations, accomplishments, and setbacks on the page seeking advice from other members. Some women and men post things highlighting troubled relationSHIPS. Posts like-” s/he did me wrong” or “how can I move on after a break-up?” or “will I love again or ever trust someone else?” When we lose love, we act as if it is lost forever.
Which makes me wonder, why do we think that a break up is the end of us loving again? Because it is not true. Especially since our capacity to Love is Unlimited. We can’t lose love simply because love can’t be viewed as a win or a loss. That old saying “there is no love lost” is true” because no love is ever lost. It may be misplaced but it can’t be lost because LOVE is Intentional.
Love is a gift we freely give to and share with others. Unfortunately, we can’t tell the receiver how to appreciate or use our gift. Just because we give the gift of love, doesn’t mean it will be reciprocated and once the gift of love is given, we can’t take it back. And no matter how the receiver responds, we should NEVER EVER regret having shared our gift because we have an UNLIMITED supply of love waiting to be freely given.
After 2 years of living together, my ex and I ended our SHIP and I was relieved he was moving out. After the breakup, I never doubted my ability to love and trust again because I knew that’s what I was born to do. Because we, as human beings were created in love, to be loved, and to give love and since we are the very essence of LOVE, our supply of Love is Unlimited.
SHIP TALK: When your relationSHIPS end, do you find it difficult to love again? Do you believe we have an unlimited supply of love? Is your self-worth connected to loving others?
Always let LOVE lead in your life
